There aren't many good teams in the top 25 least penalized. To me it shows the teams that do not play aggressive, especially offensively. You don't want to be on the other end of the spectrum. But there isn't a good correlation between penalties and record like there is much more of with turnovers.

One of you guys that likes to get into the weeds, needs to take this data and extrapolate it into lost points. For example, a team gets a first down, but there's a holding penalty that nullifies the gain. The penalty takes them out of FG range and they have to punt. Lost points = 3. Or, a penalty nullifies a TD and the team has to settle for a FG. Lost points = 4.

Our OC coordinates an offense that avoids too many sacks, not enough negative runs, doesn’t turn it over enough and doesn’t commit enough penalties, and for that he must be fired
Those sound like the exact metrics Freeman and Denbrock use to grade the offense. They probably use your charts too that show everything is perfect! Instead of actually watching the film and seeing the obvious issues going on. I'm joking, but their lack of adjustments/improvements is alarming to what was clearly on film leading into byu.

I'm not sure I've seen a post saying Denbrock should be fired. Is it not possible to agree that the offense he's trying to run with the talent we have is not good enough against better teams? I'd get it if our Oline still sucked at run blocking like they did early in the year, but that's not the case for the last month or so.

They need to execute in the red zone and should play Burress. Those are the adjustments I offered, days ago. I said Carr needs to attack the middle of the field and that it is his struggle, months ago.

I don’t consume film or data and try to figure out how it’s actually bad. I don’t really see the benefit of complaining about the coaches 25 times to no real end, point or resolution and critiquing what ass cheek they wipe first.

But you'll defend them 24 times after that performance.

I'm not normally aligned with the beat, let alone all of them. I think this is the first time since i've listened/read II, IB, ISD, etc that they're pretty much all aligned on the issues on both sides of the ball. That's saying something.

Because they are still one of the best football teams in the country. I’ve posted paragraphs of criticism. But I also don’t see the sky is blue and say it’s orange.

If you can point me to someone on the beat that clearly understands the offense and has both criticisms and fixes, I would love to listen to or read.

Sometimes the sun and moon look orange. Even though the atmosphere scatters blue wavelengths of sunlight to make it appear blue, the sky does have some orange in it, at times it can be a lot.

FYI, ND is also 3rd in the P4 in points per game.
