Chris Tyree seems like the ultimate team guy --- doesn't feel right as a transfer.
If he were some worldbeater getting ready to explode, well, maybe ... but don't see that.
Tyree reminds me of Avery Davis...does whatever is asked of him. Hope he stays, but won't be surprised if he transfers for bigger spotlight.

What about Botelho? He's a senior but has a COVID year remaining, right? He feels like a tweener. Good enough to start but probably not NFL draft material and not exactly the game-wrecker you might want at that position. Does he come back?

He couldn’t sniff the NFL. Talk about a disappointing player this season.

I really have not noticed him this year but if he wants to come back they need to let him. ND isn’t blessed with a heap of pass rushers.

Botelho is clearly playing hurt. Has been all year pretty much.
I tend to agree which is why I'm a little surprised he plays as much as he does. But, then, Junior T hasn't exactly lit the world on fire when he's been in either. Of course both are more naturally inside linebackers, which may be part of the trouble.

Botelho needs to cut weight. He should be around 250, not 265.

It's pretty clear that Burnham is the standout at Vyper, and Traore should see more time, especially in bowl prep.

Traore seems like the ideal Vyper of the bunch, physically anyway. I noticed he didn't play in the Wake game even when they emptied the bench. Wonder if they're trying to preserve his redshirt.

Probably. He's appeared in 4 games, so that would be my guess.

If Golden stays (which I think he does) and most of the defensive guys stay our defense will be elite.

Tyree reminds if of Watts; Watts could've transferred out with all of the position changes and decided to stay & look how that worked out. I think Tyree can be THE GUY at WR next season.

We're in a lot of trouble is Tyree is the best WR on the team next year. Hopefully 3-4 guys get more receptions than Chris

Tyree doesn't seem like the sort to run from competition, especially not in the form of a walk-on lacrosse player. Nor

Yeah. Tyree should be A guy, but he doesn't have the size/tools to be THE guy at WR for us (or any other team that's worth a damn). Which is why transferring doesn't make a ton of sense (IMO). He should come back, be a captain and a quality contributor in our passing attack.
Unless he's simply ready for a change of scene, which after however long he's been here (feels like forever) is fair.

I hope not. His production never come close to his hype. We have more productive vipers on the roster right now with some reinforcements on the horizon.

This makes even more sense why we stopped handing the ball off to Estime the last few minutes vs Ohio state after he busted back to back 10 yard runs. Or why we stopped feeding him vs Clemson.

He was only graded as a 94, so he clearly was due to make a mistake in both of those games.
