Damn it, I was watching that game and I must have just missed it. Was he being interviewed? This would be one cruel joke.

You can strike my last question just shot over to DD and got it there. A couple of the guys who are always on the board posted that if you have it on tivo you can rewind it and hear Grey state "I'm a silent commit to Charlie Weis and the Fighting Irish!". A couple of different posts mentioned it and they confirmed. Hope it's true. The trick is though you have to listen to the audio while it is rewinding. HA HA HA.

Willy Korn is a tough QB. At the moment, his only real problem seems to be how he reacts to a pass rush: he freaks out and makes mistakes.

Jimmy is more talented, but I'm really interested in seeing how he does against the pass rush. That's the unfortunate thing about Rivals' video library, they only show the good plays, not the bad ones. And you learn a lot more about athletes from their mistakes and what they do the next play.

So, that said, I'm really looking forward to see Jimmy's game against Ventura on FSN; we'll get to see all the good and all the bad.

Boy....I hate to be the one to tell you this guys,,,,,but I watched about two quarters of that game and saw the interview with Gary in full.
He said just the opposite of what is being reported here.
Reviewed it twice (TiVo) to be sure.
He clearly said 60/40 USC over ND.

Also, I doubt there will be any news on Gary until after the Michigan game. If we're really lucky...... maybe at halftime of the Michigan game.

And I feel honored to tell you that that's not the case. Rivals would disagree, as do practically all the depressed South Carolina fans on their messageboard, and most other people who have Tivo.

I think I also read somewhere that it was confirmed through a phone call to his parents.

While I am happy it is 60/40 ND for Gray in the past though Ive just heard too many 70/30 ND! quotes and soft verbals that have gone awry and stuff like that to get too excited.

I agree with NDAlumSon. I rewatched the interview again. It happened at the start of the 4th quarter, during a time out.

Gary Gray clearly said "I'm considering ND. It's 60/40, South Carolina."

Usually whenever you give a percentage and state a name, the named entity is the favorite. And I saw the comments on this thread stating that NDAlumSon was wrong, but if you listen to it again, you will hear that he said "it's 60/40, South Carolina." Although the name "South Carolina" part came very fast, and he kind of mumbled it. But he did say South Carolina after he stated the percentages.

He must have made a mistake then when he was interviewed. But, if someone says "It's 60/40, South Carolina," wouldn't you assume that that means SC is the favorite? Although like I mentioned before, he kind of mumbled it and it was very fast, so maybe it came out by accident. Regardless, it doesn't matter, until he's 100% either or.

But yea, I agree with you. Gray clear said "it's 60/40, South Carolina." But according to other reports floating around other message boards, the comment was later cleared up by Gray's dad who said it is 60/40 in favor of ND.

Regardless, until its 100% in favor of ND, I can't really get too excited about it.

FWIW, There is a new article on Rivals that states that Notre Dame is the new leader for Gray.

I don't have a subscription, so I can't comment on the article's content, but the teaser said that Gray told ESPN that ND is leading.
