Practice repots say Gallup has moved to DB...Good size and speed for a DB, but does he have enough time to adjust

Thanks PI - Also posted that in the EJ Banks thread. He played CB in HS. Should be a interesting transition to watch. 5'11" & 170 lbs - doesn't exactly meet this staff's criteria, but in a time of need, he'll add some desperately needed depth

I like Barry! In a couple games he was one tackle away from taking it to the house. He has a motor on him. I wonder if they'll take him off special teams.

I'm glad that it Gallup moving to the other side of the ball. He's a veteran player that should be able to handle the switch and he realistically wasn't going to see meaningful action on offense. I also like that we're not moving a younger player (yet). I'd rather not take away from the development of a kid that might be useful down the road on offense.

Good luck Barry!

WR, RB, KR, CB.

"Where do you need me, coach? Where can I help?"

There is no "I" in team but there is a Gallup!

He's my candidate for the Nick Pietrosante Award.

seems like a Mike Anello, but with the chance of playing very meaningful minutes and i am sure he would take every opportunity and make the best of it

Not quite, Anello was a walk on. Gallup was a 3 star recruit who had offers from some decent D1 schools. BC and Wisconsin for sure.

All of the offensive talent in the world won't do us any good, if the defense doesn't get better. Reggie Brooks played DB early in his ND career, and it didn't seem to stunt his offensive development.
