Changed the thread title to get more response. My only take on this if he doesn't want to come in and compete to earn the job, he isn't needed.

There doesn't seem to be any rationale to do so. Frazor's production dropped this year due to a inexperienced/poor receiving corps according to his HS coach. Next year he would suit up with talented receivers and stand behind the top OLine class.

Despite his production dropoff Scout.com just bumped him up a slot from #10 to #9 QB. Meanwhile his recruiting class QB competitor Demitrius Jones was dropped from the #22 QB to #33. At the same time there is no #2 ND QB getting meaningful game time experience. Mooney has a better QB Efficiency Rating than Wolke and Samardzija has tried almost as many passes as the backup QBs combined.

With all the early verbals across the nation, the recruiting boards need to stir the pot to get hits. Should we help out and start the Mustain to ND rumor?

These guys drop in ranking and I have no idea why. Performance based high school rankings don't make too much sense. There are 5-9 QBs breaking state records and no one ranks them in any Top 100 lists. Stats are only part of the equation.

I can't speak for Frazer other than what I've read, but Demetrius Jones faced defenses that would double up on Chris James and the other WR. Morgan Park, hence, ran the ball down people's throats and beat them that way. And his numbers were still good enough to make him first team all state.

I was thinking about this earlier today, with the success that PSU is having, and the competition he may have to face at ND (Jones, Sharpley, maybe Clausen, or Simms) would he start to consider in state PSU.

Personally I don't think he's going anywhere, Quinns having a huge year, and Frazer's always been a big ND fan. Robinson has played well for PSU, but he's a totally different QB, Galen needs to prove he can have success with a drop back pro style QB. However I would keep an eye on PSU.....

Frazer and Jones have both stated their commitment to ND is as strong as ever.

Frazer isn't taking any visits and Jones will accompany teammate Ramone Johnson, as "Ray-Ray" took a visit to ND with Jones for the SC game.

The Morgan Park trio of Jones-Johnson and Chris James is pretty tight. Any visits Jones takes should be seen as tag alongs and nothing more.
