And I don't want to hear any Powlus comparisons from Lemming. Part of what killed Ron was geniuses like Beano who over-hyped the kid and made all sorts of predictions that no one could reasonably expect.
The good thing about Frazier is that he'll have time to learn the system behind BQ for a year or two before we throw him to the wolves.

Wow, didn't know that. Those would've been some great battles during training camp.Rip Rap said:That SI tribute to Unitas also noted that he went to Louisville because ND thought he was too small (or something like that). We had to settle for Paul Hornung.

Joe Paterno tried recruiting Kelly as a linebacker. Kelly wisely chose to go to Miami....

As for redshirting the kid, that's a good question. I think I'd say yes, but then again what do we really have at QB if Quinn goes down. Then again, is an average backup that's been on the team for a year or two better suited for a fill-in start than a more talented incoming freshman?

He doesn't really need to put on any more weight when he gets to the next level (all though 10 more lbs of muscle never hurt anyone). I wouldn't mind it though just to get an extra year of eligibility out of the kid. Quinn's got at least 2 more seasons, and I think Evan Sharpely & Gorski make at least a decent back-ups if Quinn goes down before then. I would say that I'd rather have the average backup who's been w/ the team for a year or 2 fill in for a spot start than the talented freshman. Save the kid for when he'll be the full-time starter, I think it'll help his development more.
