Hello, all! I will be attending the Air Force game in early October with a couple of my buddies. This will be the first time for all of us to go to a Notre Dame football game. In the past we have rented an RV to tailgate at other colleges we have visited. Is that the best way to experience Notre Dame? I know you can't park the RV on campus overnight- where do those staying in RVs overnight generally stay? Any suggestions on where to rent the RV? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!!

I will tell you that parking has become a bear on and around the ND campus. RVs are allowed almost nowhere on campus and its going to be expensive just to park a car. The hotels are expensive around South Bend, but it may be just as expensive to do an RV. I know there is a KOA about 10 miles away from ND and thats still around 80-90 bucks a nite. You will be welcomed everywhere you go on campus and that will make up for the copious amount of cash you will drop. It is an experience that you have to do one time in your lifetime. I wish you luck in your future planning.

From ND's website.

"All RV parking is located in White Field North near the intersection of Pendle and Juniper Roads.

General admission parking for RV’s costs $100, including transportation to and from the north parking lot. Shuttle runs from White Field North to the Library Circle.

Access the RV parking area by following SR933 north or south to Cleveland Road, then east on Cleveland Road to Juniper Road, then south on Juniper Road to White Field North (near Pendle and Juniper Roads). Truck parking and vehicles with trailers are prohibited in all lots."

Are you bringing an RV or planning on renting here? They are VERY scarce for game days.

Walmart and Meijer stores offer 1 free night parking but no hookups of course.

KOA and Trinity School athletic center offered parking last time i checked for someone, but was around $200.
