Find yourself 'making adjustments' during the game?

This is a weird thread, there's no getting around that fact.

When ND was down 10-0 I took off both my blue #1 ND jersey and my Saoirse wrist-band. I might have won us the game with that move.

At least, that's what I think. But my guess is as good as anyone's. So really, were you finding yourself unbelievably desperate when we were down 10-0 and nothing seemed to be working?

Did anyone try to mess with fate like I did?

Heh. So I'm not the only one who does stuff like that.

Last night, I:

Turned my ND Football hat from front to back- because we needed to turn the game around

Convinced my 7-year old daughter she was a good luck charm and HAD to stay in the room right before the end of the half.

The first half felt like the Davingham years. Our offense was inept, the D was giving up yards. I had that pitt in my stomach feeling like I had during all the Dave/Willingham games. I hadn't lost hope, but I was very worried even after we got our first score.

Now...you are forbidden from wearing that same outfit next week. We won't have the luxury of playing against an offense as inept as GT's and won't be able to show up for half the game next week and still get the W.

I am officially challenging you to spend the next 6 days carefully selecting your wardrobe. If needed, take the clothes to your spiritual advisor and get the curse removed.

I changed my position on the couch from a full on view to an angled view. The only reason that I made the change was to change their luck.

HaHa...I love this thread, but I NEVER change up my clothes. What I'm wearing is what I'm sticking with, but bet me BROTHERS in arms...I'm not wearing that same attire next weekend. My sweet #3 jersey should be coming this week and I will be wearing it proudly to start the festivities.

I don't change it up for the simple fact that I have faith that our team is gonna pull it out and I don't want to jinx it by not having confidence.

I just punched holes in the walls at the local Knights of Columbus....crap, I'm late. I was supposed to be there at 10AM to fix the walls.

Went from green jersey to green t-shirt to green hat to blue hat. Looks like I'll be wearing my blue hat for next game.

So it's 7-0 GT and Johnson just made his catch at the 11 yardline. Off comes the new "Tradition" T-shirt and back to my gameday jersey and 15 year old fitted, tan and all torn up hat. But, before the next play, guess what happens. It's freakin raining in Phoenix and I lose my satellite picture. Now usually, I would have lost it. Last night I didn't. I took the boy (almost 6yrs) out into the back yard (in the new clothes I just changed into) and played football for about 30 minutes in the pouring rain. We had a blast. I would come in every 10 minutes or so and check the internet and see what happened. No GT touchdown, just a fieldgoal, awesome. One more check online, I see 11 seconds left until half...TD ND. I can feel things turning around. The boy and I kept playing in the rain. The satellite picture didn't come back up until after the 2nd TD, but we dried off, pulled out the ND throw blanket and finished watching the game together on the couch. ND is important to me, but my boy takes priority. When I know he's having a great time I just feel good. In the end, ND made us feel good, too. After the game was over, I logged on and bought him a green Brady Quinn jersey like he's been asking for. I hope it gets here before next Saturday. But, if it does and they start losing, he's taking it off!!!

i am not a big believer in superstitions. I wore my joe montana throwback jersey for the first time for this game and never took it off. i belive that if you're meant to win you'll win and if you're meant to lose you'll lose. nothing i do will change that. Therefore, I will keep wearing my montana jersey, in support of the team and because it's freakin sweet, and hope for the best. GO IRISH

I am sure to receive mixed reviews for this one but I was at the game and left right after Brady's score! Made it back to the hotel in time for the entire second half. Karma in the stadium was just not right.

i was at my friends house (tOSU fan), and his daughter (2 1/2 yrs old) sees me sad with my head hung. so she decides to hand me a baby rattle. i kind of look at her in disgust and son no thank you kindly. my friend sees this and sarcastly says dont take your disapointment out on her. so i look at her again, she gives me the rattle and say thank you. that was at the beginning of the drive we scored on before the half. needless to say i still have the rattle but, my friend said i have to give it back if we meet in a bowl game.... had to be there it was hillarious.

My wife took out the N.D. 6" high wool dolly that we have & started to rub it, (gotta put a little love back into the team). It worked...........& the rest is history.
