wiesel (wrote Night, very good recommended - not good if you dont like holocaust books)

Night is indeed a good book, but oddly enough, my least favorite of the trilogy. but I though Day is one of my favorite books, and I really enjoyed Dawn.

Douglas Adams. I'll admit that I've only read the five part Hitchhiker's Trilogy, but it rocked.

Eric Carle. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is also one of my favorites.

I was going to mention Douglas Adams as well.

In addition to the other fine authors already listed, I'll add Larry McMurtry. For those who don't know him, he penned Lonesome Dove, which is one of my favorite books of all time.

I forgot how much I loved the Hitchhiker's books back when I was in about 8th grade!

I always wanted a Bable Fish!
