There was smoke around Keanaaina since bowl practices. Carmody is perhaps the 5th guard, maybe 6th.... not sure where they are in pursuit of their degrees, but if they both are on the way outside looking in as seniors, I don't see how they stay.
Thanks.

Not to sound like the old man yelling at the clouds, but college football is getting ridiculous. Styles, Kollie, and Buchner have transferred in the last five days. I thought those were cornerstone Notre dame football players last year.

NCAA is making things to easy for kids, hate to be those kids when they realize life at times won't be as easy.

The NIL & transfer portal is ruining the game.

Just means ND needs to get with it while allowing transfers for mutiple years

Not the NCAA’s fault. They fought and lost on those issues. They can’t win a court case to save their lives.

Someone was asking how we would have enough room for a safety and two other transfers lol I don’t think Diggs will be the last

Literally nothing going good at ND right now. It’s getting bad.
I mean thats probably a little strong. We just received a commitment from a top 200 player at a position 12 months ago everybody was screaming we needed a talent infusion.

A backup QB transferred. A RB who while good is just one of several capable on the roster has decided to transfer. A returning starter at WR who was brutal last year and lost his spot already this spring is transferring. I do not think ND will miss the production of any of these guys with the caveat being Hartman stays healthy, although I am on record for a while now stating I did not believe the production or even the potential matched the hype with Buchner. If anything he was in the way of getting reps for Minchey and Carr next year, both of whom I feel like have a better chance of being the guy than Buchner did.

From the Pete Sampson free article "The Irish are at a projected 82 scholarship players, but more roster movement could be coming."
I could see an OL guy and DL guy leaving and maybe one of the corners. Gonna be interesting if the staff is happy with our current roster do they just leave it at 79-82 and go with that and use the extra scholarships in 2024?

They are going to have to start bringing in bigger classes, because they are not going to be on the winning side of the undergraduate transfer system

Exactly I think you almost have to take 30 guys every year at the least. I could see as many as 33 in 2024. It's sad you could lose anyone at any given time to the portal

yep, what's disappointing is all the decommits from the 23 class. A RB, a safety, an o tackle, not to mention not landing bowen and keeley decomitting..... ND needs to flat out crush the grad portal.

Forecasting thre roster churn in this age is gonna be damn difficult and take some regular, honest conversations.
Is that part of the role with guy they grabbed from Arkansas?
It would seem to make sense to cast a wider grad transfer net until the undergrad transfer issue is sorted.

An experienced back up QB and a very productive back up running back I might add.

Tyler struggled in every game he played in that’s the truth. Ohio State and Marshall he was bad. But the playing calling and offensive set up wasn’t the best either.

The bowl game he had a few mistakes but he also helped win that game.

So yes they are backs ups but the are very valuable back ups. And Diggs was very instrumental to the wins we had. So to write him off would be a mistake.

Some new names on that roster besides the expected summer enrollees and previously announced transfers. There's Grant Ristoff DL from U of Penn, Henry Garrity TE from Brmingham Brother Rice (Pat's son) and Jordan Faison WR Ft Lauderdale. I think Faison is the Lacrosse player.

Vernon, Mukam, and Traore are all curiously listed at 6-4 250

The weights are not updated yet, expecting those updates before the start of camp. I have heard a few ND beat guys say that Armel Mukam is up to 265

It’s their signing day listed heights & weights. It will be updated before fall camp

Has there been any leaks out of the gug about the summer enrollees? Wondering how everyone is looking? I've been largely absent due to increased worked demands so apologies if this was covered.
