-No team has ever 3peat the AP national title of the nine prior to SC (ND ended Army's, Oklahoma's, and Alabama's 3peat)
-ND is 2-0 at home against SC when SC is the reigning National Title Winner
-ND is 10-8-2 against all AP National Champions
-ND is 10-4 on Oct 15
-Oct 15 is the anniversary of the Miami Game
-ND has always played tight with SC early in the last three blowouts, if SC doesn't show up...then they are screwed
-Bush has showed signs of a minor injury, hopefully it will be exploited

This is all great intangible history. I wouldn't necessarily say that they are factors, but it is interesting.

The anniversary of the Miami game is a bit weird, but the players are going to decide this thing. And coaches.

I'll be there....I'm 6-1 at ND games.

Meh. I'm 0-4 at ND games... and 3 of those were in the Lou Holtz era.

Keep me away from South Bend!

All four games...

1987, at Miami... 24-0 loss.
1994, vs. FSU in Orlando... 23-16 loss.
1/1/1995, vs. FSU in the Orange Bowl... 31-26 loss.
1/1/2003, vs. NC State in the Gator Bowl... 28-6 loss.

(Yeah, I live in Florida. How'd you guess?)

Thats an interesting question what is everyones record at ND games they attended? I am 16-7 over my 12 years of going to games, hopefully I push that up to 18-7 after this season.

September 19, 1993...My dad's 44th birthday.

We were one of the last ND families to see a win over Michigan State. 36-14. Jim Miller was QB for MSU. McDougal, Becton and Zellars went wild on the ground. What a time it was. Saw them beat FSU a few months later.

1991 against Purdue in W. Lafayette. I was 13 and I discovered by kickoff that Rocket Ismail was really gone. Sad. But they pasted the Boilers.

1994, Soldier Field vs. Northwestern. Ron Powlus' journey began.

Saw them open with Wazzu and rally in OT back in 2003.

Lost to Pitt last year. Saw them beat Stanford...I think it was Lou's last season or next to last....not sure.

6-1

7-1. LOSS AT ND to sPITT. I was so pissed I would not talk to anyone the rest of the night. Funny part is, I took My fiancee to her first ND game that day and we F#%@'n lost. She is now banned from South Bend and has been labeled a jinx. Frees me up to go with the buds on future trips. WOOOHOOO!!

Thats cool jiggafini19 that 1993 game must have been nice to see, my first game was the 1993 ND vs. Northwestern game I was 8 years old; I was supposed to go to the 1992 ND vs. Penn State game but I was sick and couldn't make the journey at such as young age, now days I would have had to been dead not to see that game.

There were four of us at that game last year. The drive back to Chicago, not a single word was spoken.

My grandpa, avid Ohio State fan (Mom's side of the family) saw the ND-OSU game in Columbus a few years back. Even HE admitted seeing ND come out of the tunnel at the Shoe was pretty cool.

(My mom was born in Follansbee, WV outside of Pittsburgh....birthplace of Lou Holtz as well)
