The BCS is a politically rigged mess, I mean come on, the most undeserving teams got BCS bids and definitely didn't even deserve to play in the Little Caesars Pizza bowl. The BCS can blow me. ND will do just fine this year. Kelly is a winner.

Failing was a bad word maybe so lets say he's not living up to his expectations then. Kelly has had some bad losses as well.

0-2 against Michigan, Lost to Tulsa, got taken to the woodshed by Navy, Lost to S. Florida etc etc. Not to mention we won by the skin of our teeth to a terrible Boston College and Pitt team and almost lost to Wake Forest. These are teams we should be pounding week in and week out maybe excluding Michigan.

Now, I'm not bashing Kelly by all mean because I believe he is better than Charlie Weis but he still has some MAJOR work to do this year especially with our schedule. I'm going to give Kelly 5 years. (Every coach should at least get his 5 years).

You know how everybody loves to hate on ND and say they're irrelevant? There's no way you can say it about a BCS bowl winner. I despise, nay, loathe michigan with every fiber of my being, but there is nothing I can say that can take away the fact that they are Sugar Bowl champions. And that isn't even taking into account the recruiting benefits. scUM would not be pulling in the ridiculous recruiting class they have if they hadn't won the Sugar Bowl. Also, nothing absolutely unifies a fanbase like a BCS bowl win. Even the NDnation guys would be partying with everybody else.

Yea i agree that it would be nice and the recruiting benefits would be pretty awesome, but celebrating being 3-10 at the end of the year is kind of strange to me.

I'm just tired of people saying I'm not a fan JUST because I have realistic expectations for our team. It's painful to constantly watch Notre Dame athletics underachieve and lose to lower quality teams.

If you saw my man cave and saw all the ticket stubs of Notre Dame athletics I have gone to for the last 27 years or so you would not be saying I'm not a fan. I have been to well over 200 sporting events at Notre Dame in my lifetime. So to say I'm not a fan kinda gets me going a little bit.
