I am so impressed with Clausen's presence in the pocket today. Yes it'd Duke, but as stoney said you gotta start somehwere. and since Clausen is young, he needs a game like this to build on.

I'm think Hughes looks like the best back right now.

Congrats to Robert Hughes on a great day. The only thing is........he doesn't look that fast. On the screen that got about 25 yards, he got run down by a D Lineman. I like him. But if he is the starting tailback, I'm not all that impressed. I would just rather have a guy with more speed, but as much power, back there. I want a guy who can run over a LB, then outrun the DBs to the house.

I don't believe the spirit is gone I just believe that they have forgotten how to use it. There is always a reason for these things if nothing else no one will ever want to be a part of this type of losing season again. I am sure there will be no goofing off in the off season. It is still more fun to watch them now than when they were running straight up the middle with Faust ( thank god for the ability of Allen Pinkett)

I think CW has started to figure out the benefits each RB brings to the table. Between the tackles, Aldridge and Hughes are kicking butt. Allen is a great change of pace and runs the screen very well.

Allen has also done a good job of picking up the blitz.

And that's why Thomas wasn't the answer at RB this year.

You know, as hard as we;ve been on Thomas, I mostly blame the coaching staff for his lack of success. He played at linebacker las t year, and never took meaningful snaps at RB the two years before that. Why in the world they moved him back to RB and expected him to carry the load is beyond me.

Even if it is Duke it still is a good day. Better than getting beat by appalachian state

Can't blame the coaches for not being able to hold on to the ball. It is not the first time he has touched a football

I didn't say I blame them for his mistakes. I said:

lack of success is different from mistakes. I started by saying "that" (a fumble) was why Thomas was not going to be our feature back.

They need to give the ball to Thomas. They can't let him end his career with a fumble.
