Lets see. As of this writing (Sat. morning 8:46 am) dropped passes have cost two teams potential wins.
Thursday night: A South Carolina Gamecock receiver drops an easy touchdown catch in the waning seconds against #2 Auburn that would have brought Spurrier and gang within 1 point of a tie. A PAT ties it, a two point conversion wins it. It would have been interesting to see what the ol' ball coach would have done. Either way, you can't drop easy catches for touchdowns!!! Especially when you're about to shock the # 2 team in the country !
Friday night: A South Florida Bull drops the two point conversion that would have tied unbeaten and ranked Rutgers, again with seconds remaining, and sent the game into overtime. The kid was open and then ball hit him right in the chest. Cost them the game and cost me some IrishEnvy $$ as I had them upsetting Rutgers.
Please, please don't let this be a trend for the weekend !
