Well the silver lining in this crappy draft was the ZERO USC Trojans got picked in the first round. How long has it been since that happened (Probably Hacket's last year in LA!).

Another note, based on the talent that LSU was LOADED w/ last year, I think you could make a case that they underachieved (may be a little too harsh considering their conference) in not winning the Nat'l Championship. Talk about being loaded on both sides of the ball!

Ryan Harris was picked in the 3rd round I believe?

I am happy for Brady..not that he had to wait that long, but that he went to the team he wanted to go too! =). I am a new Cleveland Brown follower...really, not new..I liked Tim Couch, but we all know how that ended.

The combine news about Harris wasn't exactly great, so 3rd round is good. ND usually does pretty good with OL/DL draft picks.

Judging by who is left, I would think mid 4th to mid 5th round. With his stats, he'd have been an early round lock if he'd have run a 4.4 40yd. But drop that to 4.55, and its a big deal to the "experts".

hmm - that's good.

Troy Smith didn't get taken in the first day. I'm surprised..then again, I'm not.

The other QB half of the NC game, Leak still not drafted either. Also, remember Tyler Palko, (I do, unfortunately I was there to watch the debacle) who lit up the Irish D in South Bend in Ty's last home game, a performance by the Irish which pushed Ty over the edge, he is still not drafted either.

Derek Landri was selected as the 29th pick in the 5th round by Jacksonville. Time is running out on Darius & Rhema. Darius is listed as the 2nd best RB available, and Rhema is listed as the 3rd best WR available. Dan Santucci might get drafted before them, if they get drafted at all, as Dan is listed as the next best OG available.

Looks like Boise State's QB, Zabransky, may go undrafted as well. Also, Carson Palmer's brother, Jordan from UTEP, who Carson had the unmitigated gall of voting him ahead of BQ for the Heisman, also looks like he will be undrafted as well.

Mike Richardson just got drafted by the Patriots.

Richardson's pre-draft workouts really raised his stock. He went to work out up north (Jersey, I think) to hone his running & cutting. He said every scout wondered why he wasn't invited to the draft combine. He made a lot of progress last year from '05 so I hope he has a nice career in the NFL.

WHAT!!!

What the hell is with Darius? No one wants him?

I think he went into this draft w/ his eyes wide open. He was confident that if he wasn't drafted that he'd be invited to camp as a FA. Based on ND's current stable of RBs & what looks to be a better draft class next year, DWalk probably still made the right decision.

Did anyone catch the ESPN draft crew interviewing Browns WR, Braylon Edwards? He summed up Brady Quinn better than anyone I've heard (other than Weis, of course). He raved about Quinn's leadership as witnessed in the MSU game last year as well as the UCLA game. Then one of crew, Mortenson I think, brought up the criticism Quinn gets for not winning the "Big Games". Edwards didn't hesitate when he pointed out that, if that were the only criteria, we wouldn't talk about Dan Marino as one of the greatest NFL QBs ever. After that statement, Mort muttered, "Good answer".

I heard that too. Good analysis by Braylon. I guess all Michigan guys aren't bad!

Would Darius have gone out if he'd known he wouldn't get drafted anyway? He could've been a FA after next season anyway....
