Tulane has setup a site where you can donate to help with Devon Walker's medical bills.

Thanks for the link. As an alum far from NOLA it's harder to keep up with the program, but I knew there were some things in the works along these lines. From what I hear from some professors and others is that Walker is a really good kid. Hard working student, helps other players in their school work, and just a good person all around. Hope and pray he recovers from this.

Sent something his way. Just as an aside, does anyone else cringe everytime someone lowers their head while takeling? I was trying to expain to my wife how I was taught back in pee wee days to "see what you hit". I just feel so many players, college and pro, are taking some serious risks with the way they tackle.

I am incredibly sympathetic to Devon Walker, but I am curious just what these donations go to? As a DI-A athlete, isn't Walker covered by the University's medical insurance? I mean, I always assumed that college athletes injured during competition had their care completely covered? Just made me wonder..........

Keep in mind that he's in Tulsa, not New Orleans. There is airfare for family and hotel, lost work time, etc. Also, who knows the extent of his injuries. Hope to God this isn't the case, but if he is paralyzed he will need a lifetime of things including possible home renovations etc.
