This was from the notes on the first day of practice...

"One person in particular stood out. Freshman offensive lineman Chris Stewart enrolled early last January and participated in spring ball. He was a bit heavier than the coaching staff would have liked him. An ideal weight was given to him by Weis to meet before fall camp. Stewart met the challenge and shed 55 pounds down to under 340."

Shed 55 to get under 340???

I didn't understand it, either. He was listed as 360 by Scout and I think that's the highest I've seen.. so, I don't get the math.

He was noted in BGI as the biggest ND lineman ever but I don't recall 395 as the weight. More like the 360 mentioned above.

It's possible that 55 pounds is cummulative from a roller coaster weight loss/gain/loss/gain/loss battle.

Stewart must be almost svelte now.

Love the word usage to describe Stewart.

He is said to be the heaviest recruit in ND Football history.

Rumor has it, his shadow once killed a dog.
