Wowzers, two inadvertent references to Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters in one thread!
A little more Hippie History: The Merry Pranksters had a school bus that they modified and used to drive around the country. They named it "Furthur" – the misspelling was theirs, not mine.
On their tour with the Kool-Aid Acid Tests, the saying "You're either on the bus or off the bus" was used as an invitation and/or challenge. Oh, and the band called themselves The Warlocks in the earliest "test." They became The Grateful Dead in 1965.
I love some Grateful Dead/Kesey history on this board! Keep it up!
