Im just wondering why Deion is not being looked at to step up in place of floyds abscence. i feel he has the best combo of size and speed, he also looks like a player (my opinion) i think it is amazing that shaq evans is that much better, but he may be. it would amaze me that shaq knows thw system better than deion or goodman for that matter seeing as deion has had over a year head start. What does every one thinnk?

Welcome to IE NDisme

I like Deion, he has got alot of speed but there is alot of competition

Shaq has gotten alot of attention and praise from the coaches since he arrived

Goodman seems to have a good combination of size and quickness

Kamara has alot of unrealized potential

Parris appears to have the best grasp of the offense.

Someone will step up.
I would like to see either Walker or Goodman because they have a year in the system and both appear to have huge upside.

I really just wanna see Shaq streak down field and have Jimmy throw it up to him. If we had another deep threat it would be huge for Golden so that he could still be effective going deep

it's pretty funny he was higher ranked then Floyd for most of their senior years...it just goes to show you what some of these HS rankings mean.

Or how some adjust to Div 1 play faster than others.

This is the best receiving corps top to bottom in ND history.

Floyd is the superior WR but to read some of the posts of the past few days it sounded like ND would be replacing Floyd with a walkon.

Tate should draw double coverage, leaving the other WR(s) and Rudolph, Ragone, and Allen to roll up some serious yards using the entire field.

All major recruiting analysts had Floyd as a 5 star/top 5 WR coming out of HS in '08. He was up there with Clausen and Te'o as far as hype, talent, and scholarship offers.

Everybody else, including Golden Tate were 3 and 4 stars.

I'm excited to see what Robby Toma can do (probably won't get a chance this season), but he was getting unprecedented praise all camp long.

We have a lot of WR that can step up, but Floyd has height over Evans; I hope that Walker does get some playing time.

I think all of these guys will see ample PT.

Nobody has really mentioned all of the 5 wide sets that we ran against MSU.(Rudolph split wide in most sets)

Tate
Paris
Kamara
Shaq/Deion/Goodman

All six will rotate in

At 6-5 219 Kamara has the best size AND build to replace Floyd. He's got the height and muscle to fight off defenders. The others still have a height and weight advantage but not as dominant an advantage.

Walker 6-2 193
Evans 6-2 203
Goodman 6-3 203
Parris 6-3 205

It may have those dimensions for the players but going to the spring game and open practice and some games last year(stanford and Purdue) walker is 6-3 and evans is 6-1, walker has hieght over evans no question, goodman and walker are the same hieght with goodman a little more weight.

I also feel that there should be no reason why Kamara should't be able to catch a fade ball from jimmy every time we get to the red zone even further out.

Those numbers came for B&G Roster. The und.com site is identical except they have Evans at 6-1 not 6-2.

The reason is gnads. He doesn't have the (fill-in-the-blank) that Tate and Floyd do to go up and get the ball no matter what. Throw in the fact that his hands are horrible, and that's why you don't have a serious red-zone threat with him.

Now, I truly hope he can put it together, because he is the starter now and we really need him to step up. I think Shaq will as well...

A definite lack of "Fighting for the ball" was a frequent knock on Kamara in previous seasons. He's an upperclassman now and opportunity is knocking.

There are enough receivers to pick up the slack, even losing one of the 3 best in the country still leaves us with one of the 3 best in the country. There is enough talent to get it done. May be a blessing in disquise for next year. Floyd will be missed for leadership and example.

Reading Rivals today it appears that Notre Dame will try and spread it out again to give Deion and Shaq alot of PT
