But the Hawks do not suck. Not by a longshot. You don't get to the conference finals by sucking.

You should really grow up and root for your team like an adult. Cheer for them with everything you have, but dont put other teams down because you just dont like them. I'm sure there are plenty of Hawks fans on this board who at least handling their loss with some dignity.

They are the last Michigan team I still cheer for, having retired my Tigers fanaticism the day they didn't resign Lance Parrish, and my Pistons colors the day they walk off the court in game 4 of the '91 Conference Finals.

I have yet to actually figure out their system. They seem to always have 4 guys back on defense, but always forecheck with 4 guys. Its tough to tell on TV but they must have very active D and forwards who backcheck their ass off.

I wouldnt say they cant lose. I bet my pens get one at home, but I am having a hard time seeing this series go more than 5 games.

It's actually called the "left wing lock", it was started by Scotty Bowman way back in 96 when he became coach of the wings. On the forecheck, one winger goes deep, another winger covers the angle of the far side, and then it looks like 3 defenseman. It's not a trap because they are not trying to stop the team in the neautral zone, but rather they are not letting them cross the blue line without dumping it in.
