in my mind, dayne has the talent to bring ND back into contention, he just needs BK to call good plays and recruit talented O-Line to protect him

well that definetly changed my mind on Dayne.. I'm all for him I just keep on forgetting that were not in the Weis era anymore.. Brian Kelly took on Cincinati and built them from the ground up.. if he can take a bad team like that and build it with very little recruits then notre dame is paradise considering the recruiting is amazing

Actually, he didn't build Cincy from the ground up. People are forgetting that Rick Minter and Mark Dantonio both did ALOT for Cincy football. Kelly inherited a Cincy team that was solid, and was a program on the rise. He did put them over that next hump, but there was a TON of work done, before he ever got there.

Dayne Crist

Hello friends.

Long time Irish fan, first post..

Just wanted to ask what everyone's opinions are of Crist, following the likes of Quinn and Clausen..

How will he do this year, and what are your expectations? What kind of play can we expect from the QB?

Go to "Search" on the blue bar near the top of the page. Type in Dayne Crist and the option of Title search. You'll find plenty of responses.

I just merged your new thread into a current Dayne Crist thread.

Before you open new threads check the appropriate forum and you'll probably find a thread up with lots of dialog in it.

You can peruse the Forum index or do a search by Forum..

If Crist's knee is healthy consensus is he will do well. He's got a great arm.

I honestly believe Dayne Crist will end up doing something neither Quinn nor Clausen could do: win a national championship. He'll pass Jimmy Clausen in yards and touchdown passes, but not Quinn.

Dayne has the look of a QB, i always felt Jimmy just looked like a stick out there. but Dayne also is very athletic, he can run if he needs to. just can't wait to see him start from beginning to end. we all should be in for a great season, lets hope the O-Line holds up there end of the bargain to keep him healthy, which in my honest opinion i think they will

Dayne Crist is the real deal.

He has the QB body along with good speed (for a QB anyway).

Although Dayne did get hurt, I still believe Dayne is a very tough QB. He is no weakling.

I just hope Dayne stays healthy. I'm not really too worried about Dayne's ACL... I more worried that he'll have another freak accident, which is more concerning for Dayne opposed to Clausen since Dayne is going to be running more, most likely.

Fingers crossed Dayne is the next big thing!
