O well, What are you going to do about it? We have c-dub and a pretty good QB coach we don't need him anyway. I don't care.

Do you think they even have a chance?

I had 3 defensive coordinators in five years.

Coaching is a funny business. The only profession you acutally want to have a choppy resume full of job hopping.

Good for Cutcliffe and good for Latina is he leaves. Do you not thing we'll have our choice of replacements if that happens?

I have a hard time any coach will want a jump when there is a National Championship possibility coming down the pipe.

Rumor has it they're going to make a run at Latina for line coach.

given the on field performances of both teams this year, as well as the recruiting classes for next year, I can't imagine that Latina believes he'd be improving his lot by jumping ship and heading down to tennessee...

not to mention - isn't latina paid rather handsomely at ND?

I thought Latina came here because it gave his son a great chance of getting into ND, and coaches don't have to pay tuition for their children at ND. He left South Carolina and Spurrier to come here, why would he leave again to go to Tennesse. We're bringing in some serious talent on the O line so I don't see why he'd leave, probably just a rumor......

As long as Latina stays at ND he will become a major head coach prospect, as will Haywood, why risk that by leaving for the same position at Tennesse...

I don't think Latina will leave ND to coach at Tennesse. The only time I see Latina leaving is for a head coaching job.

Think about being an offensive coordinator for ND. Weis is always credited for any success the offense has, I can see how it would be difficult to use the notre dame job as a stepping stone for an OC.

eh...that's not true. one of the major media outlets (can't remember who) gave haywood a game ball for his efforts recently.

besides, weis may get a lot of the credit at ND, but with the patriots, he was routinely mentioned as tuna junior, or a descendant of the belichick coaching tree. in fact, the main reason he was hired at ND was because of his affiliation with those head coaches. the same will be true for OC's at ND.

Haywood may not call the plays, but he does a lot of hands on coaching in practice and in games. Look no further than the improvement in our running backs as a whole. The guy can coach.
