Coming up: Get ready for 17th annual Tug o' War

The Maritime Republic of Eastport's 17th annual Tug o' War, aka the slaughter across the water, will be held at the crack of noon Nov. 8 on both sides of Spa Creek . Teams of up to 33 tuggers, one at Second Street in Eastport and one at Susan Campbell Park at City Dock, will pull on a 1,700-foot rope draping over the water.
