Iowa, Xavier and Wichita State are all capable of beating us. Probably Dayton too. That is a good slate for a pre season tourney. Early in the year teams are still finding themselves, ourselves included. We will be susceptible to getting beat and probably lack consistency that early to beat 2 or 3 good teams in a row.
I think the lack of respect has more to do with past seasons than our non-conference slate. Our post season history was crap. Same reason Gonzaga, Butler and VCU get benefit of the doubt. A lot of it is probably commercial too. Duke and Kentucky was set up for the Final from the get go. That will sell the most advertising.
