I saw this on The Gold Helmet, and since brownkj002 is a member here too I didn't think he would mind if I re-posted it here as well.

The outside linebacker will then come down sometimes to help the weak side DE. They will also interchange with each other. They exchanged myspace info so I will see if I can get anymore updates.

A few days later my buddy met the oldest McCarthy brother and met Dan briefly. My buddy talked to the oldest brother about ND and Dan. Dan is going to look around and the family is not putting any pressure on him to choose ND. They also talked about Chris Stewart and the older McCarthy said that he is looking really good at NG.

Most of that is really good news, and if CB holds true to current expectations then I still think that Filer will end up at ND before it's all said and done.

I don't think Filer is any real hurry to commit. I think he's going to take his time and wait until after the season ends. I just hope Notre Dame and Corwin Brown stick with him.

Not a problem, Goshen. I didn't have time to get it on here yet, and now I don't have too. It all sounds pretty promising. From what Sean said to my buddy, Corwin is going to land some great recruits because of his intensity and infectious personality. I forgot to add that Sean said that CW told the recruits that he is tired of getting the run around from the elite 5*. He is going to get the sure thing 4* and maybe land a few 5* at the end of the recruiting season. Sean thinks that when it is all said and done; he is going to be a 5* (gotta love the confidence).

That is fine by me. What is the difference between a 4* and a 5* recruit. I'm starting to learn that the whole star rating is a bunch of bull.

I think that's great to hear that Charlie is going after the 4* guys. It says to me that he's focusing on the guys that are solid middle-of-the-road players that can still be brought up to the highest level of play, as opposed to the 5* guys that think they're already there. I seem to recall Joseph Barksdale really slacking off last year because he thought he was tops. Great piece of news!

If I recall correctly, the Rivals A-A team announced in Jan/Feb actually had more 4* than 5* players on it (with also several 3's). I am too lazy to find the link tonight.....

3.4.5. stars is what we should be getting and all the 5 stars that think they are kings of the world should go else where...we need talented team oriented good smart tough nasty players...
