Florida was able to get him to visit this weekend.

I think it may be down to ND and now Florida.

Urban seems to enjoy going head to head with ND in recruiting.

I guess his thinking is "if you can't join them, beat them". It's a little on the shady side, but I guess all's fair in business...and college football is big business.

I like it though.

We've got two recruiting wars going on... one with Florida and one with Ohio State. Could you have said this last year? Progress.

Hmmm...I guess you're right. It could be much worse, like if no one else wanted our players. I would think that Notre Dame is much more attractive than Ohio State (especially now). But I think convincing a kid to come to South Bend over a place like Miami, Gainesville or Tallahassee is going to be an uphill battle until we can consistently post winning seasons that end in important bowl games.

Well, unfortunately, Ohio State is going to always be Ohio State. It doesn't look like they are going to be sanctioned and I watched their bowl game and was majorly impressed. If I were a top flight prospect, I'd have to consider them.

I hear you on the Florida battles... I think the same goes for Texas guys, too.

I believe on ESPN there was something that the NCAA investigators said that Ohio State dealed perfectly with Maurice Clarrett - what a joke OSU i believe is filling every1s pockets

Saw this post on another board. I don't know if it's good or bad, this Roche kid is a bigger mystery then Wilson. I don't think anyone really knows where Roche is leaning, he's done a good job of keeping it a secret.

Sounds like me when I was 6 years old with $10 in a Toys R Us... so many decisions and not a clue what I really wanted.

While I'd like to have him, I am okay with the group we have right now knowing we'll have many, many kids lining up next year.

Well, after a player decommits, odds are you aren't getting him back so I never really got too excited about him.

According to Scout.com, it is down to Louisville or Notre Dame.

It was down to Louisville and Notre Dame long before now. I have a good feeling we will get him, based on his quotes. Right now, I feel the best about him.

More and more reports indicate Wilson is leaning toward tOSU, which sucks (I think for both him and us). Lorig was always a longshot, but who knows... Quinn only received a last minute look, so it's hard to know what he's thinking.

When Weis was hired, I figured we would get 15 to 16 kids in this class. Looks like we're right on target, though I was hoping they would surprise me with a few more. Still, they're all top prospects, worthy of a scholarship at ND, and that's what matters in the end. Next year's class will be awesome.

Saw on Rivals its down to Louisville and ND. Florida wanted him to play center, which he doesn't like.

I like ND's chances, his parents seem to want him to go to ND, I think Brian may be leaning towards Louisville, his comments about ND didn't sound so great didn't seem that he was impressed with his visit. But I wouldn't say he hated it either. He visited the Grotto before he left.

his teammate is on Louisville Darius Mann.

But in the end I think his parents will push him to ND, because of the education. And Roche seems impressed with Weis.

Brian Roche will decide at 3:30 EST on CSTV between Louisville and ND. Louisville is perceived as the slight leader right now

Brian Roche: Who are you kidding, Brian? This guy has been Irish ever since he received his offer. I'll eat my hat if Roche ends up at Louisville.*

Thats what Kelly Green has to say about it. Im keeping my fingers crossed!

From the day long Lemming/ESPN chat:

"Signing Day Buzz: (1:38 PM ET ) Looks like LB Brian Roche will end up at Louisville."

Who's going to be the first to bash this high school kid none of us know?

Roche committed to Louisville. Thought he'd be Irish, this stinks, would of had a good O line class with Turk, and Duncan as tackles and Roche as a guard.

Were gonna need a top 10 class next year, very confident we will have a top 10 class next year.

Oh, heck. I'll do it just because I don't like your tone:

Roche traded in on Notre Dame for a 3rd-tier school with a coach that has publically looked for a better job every other year of his life. Further, he did so at a school with a graduation rate well below the NCAA benchmark. On the plus-side, he did pick a school that will likely be televised in New Jersey. Unlike Cushing, his parents will actually see his games in real-time.

I'm sure glad Kelly Green posted a disclaimer about not actually eating his shorts.

That was silly, I don't know why he thought Roche was a done deal. Something tells me Kelly is taking wild guesses, 50/50 odds are good odds....

OH MAN. I thought he was a lock. I cant believe that idiot committed to Louisville. Guess we have to get used to it since Louisville is joining the Big East huh?

Really wonder why he chose Louisville. ND is the better football program.

ND is currently ranked higher then Louisville on Rivals, and Louisville has 27 commits. Just shows you how Louisville doesn't bring in much talent, when a team with 15 commits ranks higher then you.

Can't even put Louisville in the same sentence when it comes to education.

Kids make strange decisions sometimes.

He probably liked the nightlife in Louisville better. :kissmy:
