I was just listening to ESPN radio and the talking head (Cowherd, maybe) was discussing how impressive Brady Quinn looked in the loss to USC. He went on to say that, in his opinion, Brady Quinn went from a late-4th to a mid-1st round pick. The turnaround Charlie Weis has engineered with Quinn has been impressive. Given the rest of ND's schedule, Quinn's numbers at the end of the year project to be monstrous. The question: Does Quinn entertain the idea of giving up his final year of eligibility to enter the draft? There aren't many top-flight NFL prospects at his position (Leinart and Young come immediately to mind, but I'm not sold on either as NFL'ers; Jacobs might be better). There are likely to be several QB-needy teams at the top to middle of the draft (NY Jets, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland, Baltimore, Oakland, Arizona, maybe Detroit). There are several other teams that will pick later in the first round that might be interested in grooming a young quarterback (Tampa Bay - Gruden doesn't appear to be high on Simms, Dallas, Kansas City).
How convinced is everyone that Quinn is coming back and if he doesn't what does Notre Dame do next year?
