A coach should never be flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. Especially in a close game. He was, so you'd better believe he needs how to learn to control himself.

no real accountability for officials but a coach pushes the envelope one time and he probably has to beg to keep his job. im not clamoring for the return of the woody era but an occaisonal rant when you feel you are getting jobbed shouldnt lead to you having to beg to stay employed.

i found it on the web and i got to say the only thing about pellini's rant at his qb that was out of line imo was when he poked his finger into his chest. there should never be contact between a coach and a player beyond that if he hurt the wittle boys feelings by getting in his face then so be it. he is getting paid to play and is playing the most important position on the team... im sure taylor loves all the accolades everyone showers him with from espn to the local co-eds so he should probably get over it and take the good with the bad.

poking the kid probably required an appology but a public admonishment is a little to much imo...

It's football. Kids get yelled at. Nebraska was embarrassed because he did that the entire game. Refs, players, and Taylor all received his tirades in a widely publicized game.

There are now rumors that Taylor had been suspended for texting his dad in the locker room. Other rumor is that Taylor quit the football team.

Having said that, did you see the game? Never in my life have I seen such one-sided officiating, and that includes last year's Michigan game (OK, well, nothing tops that, but you get my point). It was like the refs were letting Nebraska know that there was no way they were going to leave The Big 12 as champions. What a joke. I would have lost my sh!t if I were Bo...
