Big East conference split ?

Since Tranghese is leaving. Does anyone see the Big East splitting into two conference's? The rumor is the football's school are gonna be put into one conference and the basketball schools into another. Of course the Dame will stay independent.

that is what my WVU son has been saying. He also said there is yet again a big push to tell ND either join the football conference or take a hike in the other sports. Haven't heard THAT before hwhateve

Not a bad idea. its to big as it is. that conference would be TOUGH though. ND, Gtown, Nova, Providence, St. Johns, DePaul, Marquette, and Seton Hall. All our Catholic Colleges correct? Maybe start a Catholic league, add Xavier, St. Louis, and maybe one more
