You can't get more "real" than El Paso/Juarez/New Mexico Messican food. Penix AZ. is simply west El Paso (Neutered runs and ducks for cover...), with a lot of Anglo haters. El Pasoans and "civilized" Juarenses are just one big family. They might as well just create a safe international zone over there, since the cities are so interlocked. They need to get rid of the Juarez cartel element first. Good luck with that.

Whiskey, I am not that familiar with AZ Messican food, but I imagine it may be similar. Not that far away (relative to the vast empty expanse which is the Great Southwest...) I had a frikken BEAN BURRITO in El Paso, with a certain cheese and I think some New Mexico peppers. Blew my frikken mind. A BEAN BURRITO for Crist sake. The lady who made it was from Messico.

Wooly, keep in mind than many of the 4 corner area, Texas and Cali hispanics aren't immigrants. They were already there when U.S. took over. Many New Mexicans still call themselves Spaniards. Add to that, the continuous population of Native Indians in
West Tex, New Mexico, and Arizona. I love it. They have some great casinos.

I was lumping them into the "mexican descent" category, not "recently immigrated". When I said we have a large population of immigrated mexicans, I meant just that, people that have recently (albiet, usually illegally) moved to Colorado from Mexico. We have lots.
