ND should crack the BCS Top 10 when this week's rankings are released later today. Based on Harris, Coaches, and Sagarin, the rankings out so far ND might get up to #8.

Harris ND 6th with 2175 points or .7699 BCS %
Coaches ND 7th with 1165 points or .7516%
Sagarin has ND 12th up from 14 last week. ND was already ahead in this poll of many of the teams that lost Saturday. ND should rise more in the other polls to about 13th which would result in a Computer Average of about .510%

Averages out to .6772 which should be 8th or 9th.

Winning out ND should finish in the Top 5.

ND has to win out including a BCS Bowl while the one loss teams pick up another loss or two in the closing weeks of the season, and in the Conference Championship games, and in the bowls.

One Loss Teams
Bama loses to AUB
LSU loses to UGA in the SEC CG
MIA loses to UVA or in the ACC CG
PSU loses to MSU
VT has UVA and UNC
ORE has ORE St
UCLA faces USC
WVU has PITT

2 Loss Teams (same as ND)
OSU faces UM
AUB with a win over Bama would replace Bama in the Top 10
UGA has GT and the SEC CG

Then throw in the bowl game matchups.

ND's on track for a Top 5 Finish.

Not bad for the preseason 41st ranked team.

Thanks BGIF. Excellent analysis on the BCS and Top 5. There's a lot of football yet to be played

I could see UGA and Alabama losing. Anything can happen, but I'm not counting on the juggernaut Michigan State pulling off an upset.

That said, they'll probably win.

ND jumped from 19 to 13 in Colley rankings. I had figured we only get to 17 this is very good new.

Wolfe will not be released until 2:00 eastern same as full BCS. I figured 13 for Wolfe.

Wolfe has a program called FACT that included Margin of Victory, MOV. The BCS used FACT until 2002 when the BCS took out MOV. Wolfe's current FACT ranks ND #7 similar to Harris, Coaches, and Sagarin.

Looking good for a shot a number 8 ranking overall.

By the f*&@ing way, the colley rankings are Bullsh!t. I want to know the betting line on the match up between ND vs. TCU and or ND vs. WVU in Wessly Colley's Matrix - I would get rich. Word to Wessly - spend more time at Star Trek conventions and less time poorly influencing College Football. What a joke. Do yourself a favor and check the formula and the break down. If I were ND on this ranking system I would schedule ECU, Yale, the Mountain West conf, Rice, North Texas, and East Carolina every year to assure a title.
