I was thinking the something tonight during the game tonight. How many teams could have had the past few that ND has had, been 5-5 entering the game and still sellout a neutral venue and have an atmosphere like that one.

There aren't any...

This team, mainly the young wolves, just have a different feel to them then the teams of the past few years. They seem hungry, and look like they will exceed potential. They aren't jaded with losing, and are turning into something serious. Granted, SC will be barkley less, but a win would do wonders for the direction of the program. Kelly has made some bad, gambling, calls. But looking back after the pain of the losses, do you think he threw that ball against Tulsa to make a point to his players that he believes in them?

This is really the only thing I didn't agree with in that article. Kelly changed big time in-between Tulsay and Utah.

Wow i didn't know that about the defense good to see. Most of us new Kelly was the right guy for the job and he showed it the last 2 games. A team headed down a dead end road know is getting on the on ramp to the highway.

Exactly; also, if he called for a field goal and it was missed, the same chuckleheads who called for his demise would have called for his head for not trying to score on third down.

There was another coach who had a similar situation. It was a scoreless tie with about 3 minutes left, ball inside their ten and the other team had not moved the ball at all. On third down the coach called for an endzone pass and the defender intercepted but dropped the ball. The field goal on fourth down was successful and the final score was 3-0.
And the field goal kicker was also good. He was not kicking into a 22MPH wind with an inexperienced long snapper and an unit that had two PATs blocked in two games, one of which was in this game.
And the coach didn't have a 6'4" receiver going against an 5'7" CB.
According to the Monday Morning Forum Experts, Ara was a genius and Kelly a dufus.

Exactly what I was thinking! This is why it bothers me so much when people say we're irrelevant cause we may not be great, we may not win NC/bowl games, we may not get the #1 recruit, we may have tons of mistakes but the last thing we are is irrelevant.
Who else got to play in Yankee Stadium? #1 Oregon? #2 Auburn?
Who gets to play in Cowboys stadium 2013? Who plays in Europe 2012?
yeah exactly. Theres only ONE ND.
