howabout rutgers take either louisville or west viriginia and the loser of those(louisville/west virginia) two take the other one out.

cal beats oregon,only to be shocked by oregon state the next week

oklahoma beats texas only to lose to mizzou who by then has moved into the top 10 themselves.

michiagn beats ohio state and notre dame beats usc to notch a rematch since the computers have them ranked #1 and #2 no human can dispute a re-match

yeah,they are bull,the unfortunate thing about it is...it's the only thing anyone has to go by and it's set up by the media at that.People who are biased,who don't even watch alot of the games,and then you have the coaches who have a lot better things to do then just pencil in their poll early sunday morning.

I never had to worry about it.

A 16 team playoff makes polls at every other level but I-A totally worthless.

I honestly don't recall a single player or coach talking about it in 5 years.

Had the Irish beaten Michigan, they'd be #2 right now. As it was, they were embarrased. The only team ahead of us that I could make an argument about is Texas. The rest are either undefeated or lost a close one to a highly ranked team.

Win and it will all shake out.

You really think Georgia would beat ND? Apparently the time you're devoting to being an assistant high school football coach in addition to a career doesn't allow you the time to keep up with college football outside your area the way you did in past seasons. UGA is not the team of past years. They've been surviving this year on a Kansas State schedule, one just as pansy as West Virginia's and VT. The Hokies finally played a decent team and got waxed at home. UGA and WVU haven't seen one yet.

Is there Defense that good or have the opponents been that lousy?

MISS, 1-4, is ranked 99th in Total Offense, 275 ypg and 111th Scoring O, 12.2 points/game
CU, 0-5, is ranked 109th in Total O, 253 ypg, 114th in Scoring O, 9.8 ppg.
UAB, 2-3, is ranked 106th in Total O, 257 ypg, 108th in Scoring O, 13 ppg.
SCAR, 3-2, is ranked 64th in Total O, 346 ypg, 80th in Scoring OP, 20.8 ppg.
W.KY, 2-2, is ranked 62nd in Total O, 324 ypg, 39th in Scoring O, 24.8

The 13 points CU scored on the Dawgs is the Buffs highest scoring total this season. They even scored 10 points on mighty Div 1 AA, Montana St., 2-3.

Keep in mind Western KY which appears to be the most potent offense the Dawgs have faced is a Div 1 AA school. So their 62nd ranking is among AA teams not 1 A teams.

UGA's opponents to date are a combined 8-16. But 3 of the wins and 2 of the losses are to Div 1 AA teams. Their opponents in 24 games have 5 wins over Div 1 schools Miss St, FL ATL, ECU, Troy, and MEM.

Yes SCAR played Auburn tough losing by a TD 17-24, and UGA shutout the Cocks 18-0 but the Cocks 3 wins are by a TD over Div 1 AA Wofford 27-20, 15-0 over hapless MS St and a 45-6 romp over Florida Atlantic. South Carolina is the best team UGA's faced and I'd take Navy or Air Force over Sprurrier's boys - in Columbia.

Could Georgia score against ND, sure. Could they score many, NO!

All they could manage against Colorado and MISS was 14 points. The only time they've managed to score more TDs than 2 were against a Div 1 AA school and against UAB.

They'll lose to UTN, UF, AU, and GT and the SEC will proclaim their8-4 season a rousing example of SEC superiority.

Unitl they beat somebody of consequence, like the Vols, they don't deserve to be ranked in the Top 25 much less ahead of ND. Their ranked on reputation and conference block voting.


They aren't THE DAWGS this year, they're lap poodles!

never ceases to amaze me .....we are seriously getting fucked over by the polls. teams are again leapfrogging us after we win?? I just don't get it. And Georgia is still #10 after struggling 2 weeks in a row! I know there is lots of time left, but it's obvious the polls are trying to keep us down on a week by week basis.

I agree... No matter what ND does it's never good enough for them, or it's never up to standards. ND gets screwed over everyyear.
