Archuleta had the best pure voice, but Cook is destined to be a superstar. He can sing almost any genre of music and has the stage prescence to put on a great show. Cook was the best choice.

I think David A has the best god given talent, but David Cook is way more polished, better on the stage, and most important for American Idol record producers, way more marketable. Remember they want 1st Ratings for the show 2nd ticket sales to the tour 3rd Big Time Album sales.....Cook will give them all of that! Both were great though and will have big careers. I think that the Irish Chick will be a big hit as well.

I personally didnt like David Archuleta from the start, i thought his voice was alright, but something didnt rub me right about his personality. At the end of the songs when the judges gave him his praises or whatever, his actions looked staged and fake to me (dont want to start an argument, just my personal opinion). I thought he was the 4th best guy behind Cook, Castro (dreadlocks) and the Australian guy. I'm just glad Cook won, he was the best choice and came out and did great everytime.

i think jason castro is gonna have a real good career. if you listen to his studio versions on youtube, they're really good. if he can work on his live performing, he'll be good.

Jason Castro? He is affectionately named "Poophair" in our household. That guy is a one-trick pony. He does Don Ho very well.

I am super-glad David Cook won as well. He could make ANY song seem original. I like Archuleta too, but agree that he was a bit syrupy and coached. I did like his duet with OneRepublic on results night, however. That song is stuck in everyone's head around here. That is the kind of music that could make him contemporary vs. being a Michael Buble kind of singer. Not that I have any issue with Michael Buble.

David Cook will be the best IDOL winner ever.

and David A. will have a fine career on the Disney Channel
