Who do you think will be the next Damer picked after him? The scuttle butt is that Darrius will be the next Damer picked and that's in the third round. I think with the wideout's in the draft, even the Shark would of had a hard time going any higher. Who do you see is a future 1st round pick in next years draft. I can't think of one.

I agree with Victor going in the second or maybe the early third round. It seems like DE are highly sought after this year and will end up going quickly.

If Walker goes second, it's going to be a long day for the Irish...ugh

I think John Carlson can go in the first round if he stays healthy and is as productive as he was last year. New quaterbacks usually rely on their TE's so the production part shouldn't be a problem. I always thought Laws could be a first rounder but it will depend how it goes with the DL shift.

Carlson will probably be the top TE next year he is going to be relied upon this season and the exposure should be great for him. As for this year second up has to be Victor. No way it is Darius though I do think DW is going to be an awesome pro. To me he looks better than J. Jones did at this same time and is way more confident.

He is not built for the NFL at all, we all support him but realistically i wouldn't waste a draft pick on him. You can throw Barry Sanders wasn't either and Emmit Smith wasn't fast either, not everybody is Barry or Emmit. Emmit was sick in college and so was Barry...Darius wasn't sick at all, he was productive but we haven't had "a running game" in quite a while. Besides have you seen flashes of Barry in him anyway? He was good for ND but im happy he's gone because now we can really get this running game back as a strength.

Does anyone really think Darius W goes anywhere before 5-6 round, if drafted at all?

Even though I am not his biggest booster...for some reason I think he will go in the 3rd or 4th. There are not too many great backs in the draft this year...that alone will bump him up a round.

So my prediction is 4th.

It depends it can be anywhere from late 3rd to even the 2nd day. Do you know how he did at the combine. I know his 40 was horrible( for an nfl caliber rb) but thats all i really know.

I'm kinda surprised so many people are down on Darius. I don't think there are many backs in the NFL that offer the dual threat that he does. Rushing or catching the ball out of the backfield is a prized commodity in the NFL. I honestly think that Darius fits into the Brian Westbrook kind of mold. Yea, neither guys have lightning fast speed but they do have good vision and good hands that can get them some quality yards on screens or dump passes. Ofcourse none of us are expecting Darius to be like Tomlinson or Larry Johnson or anything, but I do think he has much to offer the NFL. You guys have to remember that with our D last year we were in need of putting up alot of points quickly last year and with Brady and Jeff and Rhema who wouldn't rather air it out than grinding out tough yards. And have we all forgot that Darius was the only player wearing a gold helmet to show up in the Sugar Bowl, and hey, according to ESPN if you can shine in the Sugar Bowl you are the greatest player ever to come out of college. Darius will be a fourth round back and will turn out to be that back that doesn't show a ton of flash but is effective and untimately very valuable to whichever team that picks him up.

Remember, Montanta was the skinny QB out of Notre Dame that didn't have the arm or legs needed to succeed in the NFL.

I think Victor Abiamiri will go in rounds 2 or 3, and I also think that Ryan Harris will be drafted before Darius. I think that Ryan will be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round with Walker going in round 4 or 5. Then McKnight and possibly Mike Richardson going somewhere after Walker.

I think Abiamiri goes after Quinn and then Santucci, Harris, Walker and finishing off with Rhema McKnight and Ndukwe both going somewhere in the final two rounds. I doubt Ruchardson will be drafted...

I see him as more of a single threat. He's great at catching passes when needed and blocking for receivers. I do NOT see him being a running threat in the NFL. He's too slow and can't make people miss.

He's like Autry Denson with half the moves. At least Autry was shifty and slippery... Ad we saw what became of him in the NFL.

I think Rehma could go in round three. But next year for first rounders Carlson will be the top tight end.

I think Rhema will be very productive in the NFL and is being underrated going into this years draft.

I remeber Weis (On Mike and The Mad Dog) comparing DW to Kevin Faulk.... not so much in his physical attributes but his football smarts.... knowing how to pick up a blitz, knowing where the first down marker is, etc. Maybe Mad Mike Martz will draft him. I think he will definitely get drafted and depending on what system he winds up in... could either flourish or get lost in the shuffle.
