Green squares represent your Reputation. Green''s are Positives and Reds are Negatives. You get Positive Reps when someone agrees with a Post of yours or you make a witty remark, or you went the extra mile digging up a tidbit of information, or takes the time to answer your questions
(when you learn how to issue Reps you can send some my way). Reds can me disagreement with a statement of yours. Usually it for a stong statement a poster made that is blantantly wrong, such as "
Willingham was a highly successful recruiter". Negs reps have been issued for trashing players like, "Te'o is part time player. He mails it in when we get behind." Most neg reps get issued for trolling (agitating for a pissing contest).
You issue reps by clicking on the Repuation Icon. Look in the left column next to a post where the posters Name and info appears. Now look further down in that column there are 3 icons. The center is a Scale (I'm told, looks like a snowflake on my screen). Click on the scale and you get a dialog box where you can agree or disagree with the poster's remarks. You have to click on the scale of the Post you want to Rep. You can also enter a comment of your own about the reps. Only the recepient and the mods can see it.
If you're trying to buy your favorite team's icon and get you don't have enough points, you need to raise points or cash, "vbucks" here. The more you post the more you earn. Somebody may also donate you some if you panhandle well. "Teamless, will root for your team if you send me vbucks". Posting that "High School Football in New Mexico is the best in the nation" will probably get you a donation (as well as neg reps). We have some posters with more vbucks than Timothy Geithner has printed, they may take pity.
Once you acquire (earn or beg) enough vbucks you can bet on sporting events and get more vbucks for winning or less for not winning. Mr.McGibblets is the board bookie.
