We want ND!

We want ND!

You will probably still get picked because of that silly ND rule and for the second straight time a PAC-10 team ranked #5 in the BCS will be left out. I find it funny that Oregon's only other 10-1 season included a loss AT home to a Stanford team that finished 4-7 I believe and yet they finished #2 that year and went to the Fiesta Bowl. Now they are being penalized more for losing to the #1 team in the country.

Oh well. All I want to say is after all this crap, I want to see you, ND in South Bend, in Autzen or whatever the hell and I want Oregon to play you soon. You think you're better than us.

BRING IT ON!

Do you realize a team with 4 losses is going to a BCS bowl. Go plead your case on their board....

Conference Champs

Conference Champs

They are a conference champion. I'll agree its kind of ridiculous but they did win their conference title game. Same as in the NCAA BB tourney, conference champs deserve to go to postseason.

Oregon jumping us is rediculous. whatever though everyone except Quack fans know they don't deserve to be in the BCS. Go Schedule more schools like Montana and other 1-AA teams.

Not really, it's smart like a thief. As Willie Sutton, the bank robber, said when asked why he robbed banks, "Because that's where the money is." If Sutton was alive today he be a Conference Commissioner who sits on the BCS.

... they did win their conference title game. Same as in the NCAA BB tourney...

Except this isn't NCAA BB, is it? The Conferences and Bowls have made sure of that.

The NCAA BB TOURNAMENT selects teams by a committee based on Wins/Losses, RPI, Quality Wins, Bad Losses. The BCS (Big Conference Screw) selects teams by secret ballots.

This isn't a tournament/playoff format, is it? It's a bastardized format for fraud.

Your Conference Commissioner voted for this. Last year when CAL got screwed by the Big 12 Coaches fudging ballots your Commissioner screamed. This year the PAC 10 coaches learned how to fudge ballots just as good as the Big 12 did. Compare the Harris Poll where the votes are public with the secret revenue sharing Coaches Poll.

No, they're a Conference Championship Game Winner. Big difference.

Penn State, USC, Texas....those are conference champs. Florida State backed in and beat the most overrated team in America in Virginia Tech (now comes the part where the WAC 10 fan says ND is the most overrated team in America, Michigan State, etc.)

Conference Championship games are laughable. Colorado had THREE chances to clinch it and couldn't do it. Then they get murdered in the bet of the century against Texas.

Oregon was in second place in the WAC 10 and lost 45-13 to USC. UCLA took third and lost 66-19. Clearly, the gap is as big as the Grand Canyon and the conference is a step ahead of the Big East and Mountain West. That's just sad.

Oregon could have played ND, but the suits thought more people would have cared if ND played Ohio State.

Hey what is the ND rule? Can somebody help me with this? Is it the ND rule or is the same rule that got Utah into the BCS? Aahhhhhh. You remember Utah last year? An independent or non-BCS affiliated team qualifies for an automatic berth if they finish 3-6. OSU qualified automatically because they were ranked 4th. I don't think "ND" was anywhere in that rule. It's not a Notre Dame rule. It's a rule that allows non-BCS affiliated conferences and Independents (which would include ND) to automatically qualify for the BCS. Utah qualified last year, because they did not lose and finished in the Top 6.

So are you saying that you believe that if Colorado would have beaten Texas, that they would have deserved to play in a BCS game. Florida State has no more business playing in a BCS game, then you duck fans have saying that you played a tough schedule. And i know that Montana game was not scheduled many years ago. I go to school there and it was just thrown in last year at some point. So go whine to your stupid AD.

Does anybody have a link explaining the Coaches' Association selection of voters, which is apparently fixed at 63?

In googling the issue, I've found an article in which Doba admits somebody in his office fills the poll out for him "because they would do a better job," and an article about Walt Harris retaining his vote from Pittsburgh when he moved to Stanford. Wannstedt, for examples, does not vote.

I find this all very fascinating.
