I thought our offense floundered when we got away from running our sets. Waiting until 10 seconds are left on the shot clock and expecting Grant to manufacture something is not a winning strategy. Taking the full 35 to work for an open shot is what makes us efficient. Just modify to pass on 3s until the clock is down but don't stop trying for a high percentage 2. Make them work on defense!
Other than that, DJ missing front end of a 1 and 1 late made this closer than it needed to be. Get lots of jitters out and come out with something to prove against Butler. This is why high seeding is so important! Your margin for error goes up a lot, kids have time to settle in and coach gets to see who is responding to the bright lights the best.
I like our odds vs Butler. I think we match up much better than Texas after watching some of that game. Sad but it helps that their guy came up gimpy, didn't look like something that would be much better in two days.
