Just got around to watching his tape. Why are opponents choosing not to block him? They think because their slow ass RB is running the opposite way, they don’t have to block a 6’5” freak of nature?

His tape looks good. The athleticism pops up immediately. He had a lot of free access to the QB. I’m not from PA, but I question his competition.
His school plays 6A (highest in PA) and plays a competitive schedule in suburban Philly. It's not the same level of play like St Joe Prep and La Salle High School, but he isn't playing cupcakes either.

Are we a little too high on him? I don’t think O’Neil is necessarily destined for 3T. Just looking at the moving pieces.

Not sure how the two are mutually exclusive. How high or not on Sesay would be just evaluation of Sesay. What O’Neil does or not is separate. Sesay more of a long, speedy pass rusher. Sesay and Vaughn would be stacking on Ewatade and Dunham to me and O’Neil offers a separate skill set.

And finally we are at a point where Sesay and Vaughn dont have to play day 1

We are in the “are we a little too high on this 5* DE” stage of recruiting apparently
I have not watched Sesay's tape, but tbf when Brenan Vernon committed I watched the tape and thought the rankings were off. It's fine to have opinions.

With all this DL activity and recruiting, im a little concerned about NDFan2008...can we do a welfare check on him? His mind must be blown...he might be in a coma from all of this excitement

Sesay is friggen stud. He's 100% a take and he's among the most coveted edge rushers in this cycle.

That said, this is the reason the likes of Alabama, Georgia and Clemson stack(ed) talent not only in each class, but cycle-after-cycle as well. If you miss on one guy that doesn't develop as you expected he would, it's simply a matter of "next guy up". You take as many high end talents (regardless of rankings) as you can, maximizing your chance of hitting and building out competition within the position room and a quality 2 or 3 deep for game day.

Vernon also dropped in the rankings by quite a large margin. When he committed, he was one spot under Keon Keeley and in the top 10 overall. He ended as a top 300 prospect on 2 services and barely a 4* according to 247.

Sesay is absolutely a must get prospect, and ND does not need him to perform as a freshman

Interesting peak behind the curtain, and likely is us leading this sentiment:

“After spring, a lot of programs started putting the pressure on because OVs are coming and some programs want kids before OVs”

As classes fill up, schools are telling Sesay NIL could change because of the money spent to secure other prospects. Schools, even the richest in the revenue sharing/NIL space, have roster budgets.

Sources said Sesay, who plays a premium position, is being offered high six figures in the first year of the deal with the chance to move into seven figures in the second year of a deal.

“A bunch of schools would say the money is either going to go down or the money would be affected depending on how long I wait. I am really not too concerned about the money and I really have a plan for what I am going to do so I am going to continue that plan and evaluate the schools the right way.”

LSU, Duke, FSU, and ND are his OVs. Maybe PSU.
