I feel like there was a big discussion about whether or not the rise of Indiana as an in state football powerhouse was concerning or not and man you really have to have shamrock colored glasses on to think it's not.
I don't think this is going to hurt ND much at all. This will hurt Iowa, Wisconsin, MSU, Minny, Illinois, etc.

The good, solid players who used to go there will now have a better, 'cooler' option to go to. And those are the players that Indiana always missed out on before Coach Cig.

They will have a good class and will be fine. They just had the greatest/most accomplished team in cfb history. They are being more selective. They recently told Olgelsby to pound sand when he wanted a huge bag. He can enjoy Kansas.

They've also been really busy since the playoff started. They spent part of this week in DC visiting the White House. That's what championship teams do. My notes tell me the last time ND was at the White House, Ronald Reagan was there.

But that could change next year. ND or Indiana could very well be there next year.

The question was "will Indiana being compentent at football hurt ND?" not "will Indiana be ok?"

Indiana might end up with a top ten class for all I know. I guarantee that if they do, it's to our benefit because they are going to be robbing other B1G/SEC state schools way more than they are robbing Marcus.

Even if they land Sales I think this recruiting class has been underwhelming if you’re an IU fan. I’m actually surprised because I thought they in January looked like they were gonna start landing some names. They landed Hobbs and Torbert in January two guys with ND offers but now OSU is a threat to flip Torbert and IU hasn’t landed a commit in 3+ months. I’m not sure the downside of recruiting at least at a Top 25ish level but 4 commits in May signals heavy portal class.

My previous post was aimed squarely at ND “fans” like you. Greatest/most accomplished team in CFB history? Dude GTFO with that garbage. You can spin their lack of recruiting success as them being “selective” all you want, but anyone with half a brain can see right through it. I don’t know who oglesby is and I’m not even gonna bother looking him up. I don’t give a shit where they were last week or where they’ll be next week or next year. They’re a blip on the radar and nothing more. Water finds its level and outlier results regress to the mean. Why don’t you scurry on back to your Indiana board now?
