86 Sox. Dave Hendo Henderson hit a HR on Donnie Moore from the Angels in postseason. He later committed suicide as he couldn’t live w the pain.
It was domestic dispute in which he shot his wife (she survived) and then himself. Pretty sure the home run had nothing to do with it

No.

1. Freeman would never decide that in advance. He lives in the moment, he makes the decision when it needs to be made. Coaches don't architect their next move a year+ in advance. They evaluate options as they are presented because there are too many variables/changes to make that kind of decision.

Kelly being the exception to that rule, presumably.

2. Even in a world where Freeman did make decisions a year in advance, why in the hell would he share that with anyone? I find the whole idea to be bullshit. I think A&M offered more, the end.

I could be wrong but I don't think Kelly knew he was leaving ND three weeks before he left, let alone a year. The way Kelly leaving has been described sounded like when you hear about a husband in a relationship creating a Tinder profile "not to do anything, but just to see what's out there. For science." Next thing you know, the husband finds a blonde willing to PIIHB. The husband comes home and says "I could be doing this with her so you should let me do the same" and the wife says "Guess you should go do that with her then."

I think this simile is apt because Kelly did indeed end up fucking LSU in the ass.

It may not have but he was never the same after that postseason and that game/HR specifically. His numbers went north for 2 yrs and he was sent to minors and was released then the tragedy happened. I guess I remember hearing about it (his death) in the news (in the Boston/New England market) and was talked about in the context of what had happened a couple years prior.

If ND gets Parks, and flips Henderson - - we're going to have to listen to Loy take his victory lap for calling the famous "I feel good about these 6" aren't we?

What did he say?
Basically people that loy is speak to are saying they would not be shocked of a flip in November and December.

Segment starts at the 27:30 mark on the new Irish illustrated podcast

A&M won't make this easy but he's still talking to ND and ND is in a good spot to get him back on campus at some point, per Freeman.

Me - if he visits (let’s say it’s Miami), it’s over. He’s not going to rock the boat, see Marcus, our new facilities, our undefeated season and say no.

Great point … he’s not yet seen the new facilities. Add that to an INSANE Gameday atmosphere for Miami….. LFG

I'd say it's a 60/40 chance he ends up 🍀 right now but those odds increase if he makes it to campus 10-15%

If Freeman gets the chance to close- I'll take Freeman with the save to flip Henderson to ND.
Choosing between Freeman and Elko should be the easiest choice in the world. Freeman was known as a top national recruiter prior to coming to ND. Few have his charisma, likeability, and authenticity. This recruitment could get interesting quickly if Henderson comes to South Bend for a game.
