We made his final 5 after a spring visit and are getting the last official. Definitely one to monitor.

Probably in the top 3 but the key will be getting him to actually make it to that visit.

I love the strategy of focusing on high upside playmakers out of HS at WR and grabbing a boundary as needed in the portal. Seemingly the Easiest position to fill a need at.

I haven't seen his times or 100Ms or whatever, but dude is a laser in both short and long speed on film. Has all the "suddenness" you can ask for.

Can someone who's better at breaking down film than me compare Gayles and JJJ? They seem very similar to me.

Yes. But I feel like Gayles and JJJ could be flipped depending on the concept and because they are versatile
Seems like that positional versatility might apply to all 3 of Coleman, Gayles, and JJJ.

Boundary: Coleman
Field: Coleman/Gayles/JJJ
Slot: Gayles/JJJ

Yup. Also curious if there is less emphasis on this in the future. Being able to just go left/right or aligning based on matchups is important.

Interesting how this WR is shaping up. Other than JJJ, I would've never guessed this a few months ago.

If the staff gets Gayles and JJJ, do they shut it down at WR? Or do they continue to pursue Royal/Gregory/McAfee/Yancey?

writers have said they would be good with JJJ and Coleman. Wouldn't turn down an elite third wr...not sure who they consider elite. But Gayles is in that category for sure

I’d shut it down if I were them. We took 5 last year and many appear to be hits. You take 4 studs again and you’re just paying for inevitable transfers.
Good point. I just think they’ll continue to recruit guys that they think are better than guys they already have.
