Can someone who's better at breaking down film than me compare Gayles and JJJ? They seem very similar to me.
IMO, he has a touch more speed but JJJ is far more physical. JJ turns into a RB once the catch is made.
So the ideal placement would be Coleman at boundary WR, Gayles at field WR, and JJJ at slot WR?
Yes. But I feel like Gayles and JJJ could be flipped depending on the concept and because they are versatile

Yup. Also curious if there is less emphasis on this in the future. Being able to just go left/right or aligning based on matchups is important.

I think they continue to recruit all difference makers regardless of position. There’s really no reason not to.
writers have said they would be good with JJJ and Coleman. Wouldn't turn down an elite third wr...not sure who they consider elite. But Gayles is in that category for sure
