Nothing against Fakatou personally, but I really hope ND fans let this one go and don't start wishcasting him as a flip candidate. He isn't coming here.

I moved on from expecting him once we tried to act like Al Washington leaving was some big deal

If they land Parks, I think we will look back and back no one will care about Fakatou

Fakatou is no doubt one of the best DL in the nation. But we have 3 current commits and Sesay. His “fit” was always going to be a question. He is a better O’Neil. So then O’Neil loses value. If we can close with 1 of the remaining 3 dts (or two now that $ has opened up), it is still a great class

He's bigger than O'Neil, not sure about better. O'Neil's motor is an attribute that'll see him become one of the better players in this class.

I think ND did a great job showing how much they wanted Fakatou and to cancel his visit with ND put the dagger in this recruitment with ND.

ND is doing a great job with defensive recruits with this class and without Fakatou this can be damn good defensive class.

I haven’t been expecting him to end up in South Bend but I at least figured that he’d visit. Given how much he has talked positively of ND, even after his recent spring visit, this has $$$ written all over it. ND probably informed him that they weren’t willing to pay what other schools are offering to save everyone’s time.

Just speculating, but if he wanted a guarantee about playing DE instead of DT, perhaps ND wasn’t prepared to make such a promise. I believe ND is better off at DE with who they acquired. Fakatou is a DT all the way whether he thinks so or not.

I mentioned it earlier. He is a better version of O’Neil. But you don’t give up O’Neil and the funds for other dl

I think we discovered you not only have a huge house on a cul du sac, smoking hot wife, but also a smoking hot sister. Welcome home, Razor/LBerry/Drunk/Koon/Keunajaja
Kudos to you, and are those the "pet" names you have for each of your people, you might be missing a couple, I think I see Koon on the right and Razor in the middle and you on the front left...anybody else who knows

I went to the Fantasy Camp again this year & we had the chance to meet with Mike Martin & ask him a whole bunch of questions..

So they basically enter into every negotiation with the message that they likely won’t be the biggest bidder & strong sell the 4 for 40 Notre Dame network.. and it’s apparently been why the past two classes have been so successful.

They’re very competitive in NIL.. Make no mistake but when it comes to the 5* kids they have to be willing to take less $ & think about life after football.
