Here in PA we are having district games on Thursdays now too.

Not enough refs...

Mt. Carmel doesn't have a home field on campus. They typically use Gately Stadium, which is a Chicago Park District field. Availability can be an issue in that respect since there are other events taking place at Gately on the schedule.

A lot of coaches who host the round want to play Saturday if they played the Friday night before to get the extra day.

Mt. Carmel has three losses but they're probably going to win 7A.

I have never quite understood why some games are Friday and some are Saturday. Depends on the opponents and how the coaches come to schedule.

I know scheduling was often an issue because programs shared the Chicago Park District fields.
