Correct, if you're Notre Dame what you want is to get all of the QBs on campus now and give you a full year of evals on each... everything from practice habits to leadership to arm talent. Then after CJ goes pro you can make a decision on whether you want to dip into the portal for a QB or whether you think someone has the goods.
I was more pointing out the fact CJ is gone lol @ab2cmiller

If CJ wants to go go back to back natties I'm cool with RS SO Grubbs or Jarrard taking over in '28.

Jarrard is a top 100 talent imo. Step above Grubbs but probably a step behind CJ.

Talent I agree but player right now no, I think he's probably better than 1 or 2 in the top ten and Faizon is vastly overrated.

Don’t bet against Grubbs. He had a phenomenal senior year. Right now I’d take him over Jarrard in a heartbeat.
I generally agree with the sentiment. “I’d take him over Jarrard in a heartbeat” might be a little strong.

Grubbs was definitely battle tested and will have the advantage of Spring practice.

From what I’ve seen from Grubbs, I’m pretty excited. I’ve seen less of Jarrard but I’m equally excited about him.

Nothing wrong with having a couple of quality guys battling it out.

I get that he's that low tbh. he reclassified late and without the last year of film and development I think where he's ranked is fair.

Pretty much, I could see 125-135 ish but he's Irish and I'm surprised they didn't drop him in the 200s

I like him a lot, has star potential. I just don't like him in the 26 class. Just my opinion...

Not sure what's

not to like. He and Grubbs get to sit for a year. Learn the system and battle it out when Carr leaves next year. Win. Win.
This is where I lean. However, there could be an argument made that actually playing and getting in-game reps would help his development. You are seeing it more and more with the college to NFL transition as well.

Also true, but he is a 3 year starter already. Not all prospects started as true freshman.

Class AAAAAA as a Senior: 65% 18-5 TD/INT, 8.49 YPA
Class AA as a Junior: 69% 31-5 TD/INT, 8.52 YPA

TDs way down but other than that, a pretty smooth transition.
