I wonder if most um fans will buy that?
Pretty sure most UM fans don't pay any attention to our recruiting, and think they beat us straight up for any number of guys we've turned away or passed on over the last few years. Unfortunately a few of them turned into pretty good football players.

on r/cfb seems like most UM fans are aware that he wasn't a take for ND and thus he fell to UM. There isn't much of a "we beat ND for this guy" vibe tbf

Ultimately, if the twins would have tried committing earlier I think we would have accepted. We got a commitment from Mullins, realized we were very close to one from Young, and informed the twins they didn't have a spot anymore. Whether we still lead at that point is unclear and moot. Perhaps hearing this made Jerod push up his decision timeline, or maybe Michigan just blew him away, but yeah.

I think so as well. If they had committed on their last visit they're likely in the class. But, when they didn't. It became a decision on, are they good enough to wait for? Or should we just keep recruiting the board. They are not good enough to wait on and in less than one month we'll have verbal commitments from 2 prospects that I personally like better.
