So the staff is content on going into 2024 banking on Colzie, Thomas, Merriweather, the 4 freshman coming in, and then these 3 recruits. That gives us 10 WR's. I find it highly unlikely that we either A. lose someone to the portal, someone decommits, or someone enters the draft.

Tyree is the wildcard that youre not including. His NFL future is at wide receiver, and he has a fifth year available. Maybe he transfers, maybe he stays.

To add, ND can use the portal if they need. Stuckey’s own words were that he is content with having 10 WRs. Also, means we can save the scholarship for other positions in this class, and potentially go after three next year.

It’s really not a huge deal. ND also utilizes TEs in the slot, and we have some good flex TEs on the roster in future (Staes, incoming Larsen and potentially Carter Nelson).

Why not, I'm with Jamie U on this one. Yes he is dynamic and a talent, but he is also a slot only, and a small slot at that. While I would take him if he wanted to come, I am ok with other options. ND likes to move guys in and out of all 3 spots. From my understanding he is pretty limited in where he can play.

I'd take a 4th WR but I'm fine with them moving on from Robinson. The guy I'd take is Jeremiah McClellan.

He's 150lbs at present. That's a long ways from making an impact. He's from long beach poly. He was in campus for several days with the staff, so they had a chance to be around him, for better or worse.

Im good with the three they have and like others have stated, if another prospect balls out, you reevaluate your situation.

You need a decent sized room of WR, CB, LB for guys who can help on special teams. These are the most drafted positions in the NFL. The numbers usually work themselves out and the unpredictability of the portal coupled with the way ND intends to use it means they're going to have to build through recruiting.

If they can take four in this 2024 class that they really like I am all for that, but if you get three and can't find the fourth so be it. There are a few other guys on the board currently I hope they keep after and they can surely find others between now and December.

Alcohol, in general, thins your blood.

I know everyone will say that O’Leary fudge play a roll, Tae wanted ND regardless.
But a long time ago it was obvious that Tae wasn’t an option.
So O’Leary had to both encourage him to keep working & also stay in contact with him to keep ND as an option.

If O’Leary told Tae to eff off, this doesn’t happen. He had to be 100% engaged with him to make any of this a reality.
