Nelson rumors were he wasn’t happy with USC “keeping promises.”

Let’s just pretend the “promise” was NIL/moneybag related…
What better way to force USC’s hand than to visit A&M?

I bet he stays with USC, with a much fatter wallet in the end, just because he visited A&M.
This is straight out of the Caleb Williams "How to Milk SC for Every Last Penny" playbook.

We are fine this season. DP will transfer after the season. If TB looks really good, get Angeli some PT over DP. No reason to play DP imo unless TB sucks or get hurt. If Angeli can hold his own, we are fine.

If TB struggles this year, we are in trouble. At that point go hard at the portal for a 1 or 2 year wonder like Coan. Then it’s CJ vs Angeli.

I think we are going to have to go portal. This is a failure of the staff to recruit QB. There’s no other way to spin it.
If it’s an actual competition between CJ and Angeli then CJ is a bust.

Not as a true freshman. If CJ’s ceiling is only as high as Angeli, he was overrated though. I would expect a fiery competition with Angeli regardless of whom the ‘24 kid was. Angeli will have 3 years in the system b4 CJ hits campus. He will be a safe, mature, upper class man, less likely to make mistakes and more likely to lead a Jack Coan type offense. I expect CJ to come in and be about as ready as a true frosh can be. No, this isn’t ideal. Dante was ideal. CJ reclassifying was a valid alternative. Novosad was a disappointing but nevertheless exciting third option. Minchey a pull it out of your ass and save the position, take a big deep breath and say phew, effort. Nobody is astounding and quite frankly it’s a massive failure. Without CJ Carr, there would be a serious emergency that JS might have to deal with. Armageddon would obviously be CJ decommit a, but I don’t think that going to happen.

That said, I predict TB doing good things. I foresee CJ being capable of competing with Angeli and whoever takes control, we’ll be in good hands. I’m rooting for CJ to slowly steel PT from Angeli or even totally outshine him in spring practice as if that happens, I think he’s going to be very good and it’ll just be a matter of getting him comfortable in big games. By that time, either would be one hell of a backup QB. CJ has a way higher ceiling it seems so the earlier he’s ready the better.

So if I'm reading this right after 36 holes it's down to Baylor and ND because a $ M is pulling a ND and shooting for the bigger fish?

Have we heard anything new either way on CJ reclassifying?

He sure put baylor through a lot of bullshit to just stay there. Why announcement to stick to your commitment. Fuck that is a disgusting level of narcissism

Just because it says he’s committed on a website doesn’t mean he’s actually committed. By all accounts Bowen and keeley aren’t committed but it still says they are on here.

He doesn’t have to come out and at uncommitted in public, to coaches is all he owes it to.

Who makes an announcement to commit to a school they’re committed to. This has to be a first.

These schools need to just form their own pro league and let everybody else play college football.

The NCAA is so derelict in duty that everyone should break away and form their own leagues where everybody is playing by the same rules.

There aren’t even any NIL caps in CFB…..at least in the NFL you have that.

Amen. My sentiment exactly. While I think this is better for the Keeley thread, there must be regulation otherwise it’s just two leagues competing against one another. The pro leagues in all sports are far far more regulated and these are kids for gods sake.

Long term relationship is Austin Novosad's reason for sticking with Baylor. This is why you recruit multiple QB's throughout the process. Had ND established a relationship with multiple QB's (and not cooled on the ones they had that relationship with), they'd have one in the class.

Hahaha. So if you were Baylor though you would have started tossing offers out weeks ago no? Visit A&M? Get lost kid with your NIL Aggie parents kid right?
