We were never seriously in the hunt right?
If he had signed w/ ND, fans would be crying about why he wasn’t on the field as a true freshman b/c of his measurables as an athlete. This despite the fact that he may be behind on football acumen. But a portion of ND fans want the kids w/ more upside on the field now b/c they can’t stand the fact that a LB (who doesn’t possess Luke Kuechley-type measurables but is always in the right place on almost every play) is playing ahead of a superstar in the making who is more of a “see ball, get ball” stage in their development. Their totally fine w/ multiple blown coverages & missed gaps that lead to losses…until it actually happens.
